1. How do I join you all for the run?

We run every Wednesdays, no exception. By simply, logging on to our website, which you had already done so,  click at 'RUN SITE INFORMATION' and you're there in seconds. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact any of the committee members listed on the home page.

2. What should I wear?

Well, if you're a member of the fairer sex and you have a nice body with big boobs, then wear nothing at all! Just kidding-lah. A light cotton tee with running shorts and a good pair of running shoes should suffice.

3. What should I bring?

The first thing is you yourself, drinking water, shampoo and bath water.  A change of clothing and footwear will also be sensible. And last but not least, it is wise to carry small petty cash but not the valuable items.

4. What if I get lost?

The run is conducted on the basis of following a paper trail. Usually an experienced member will act as a sweeper to ensure that every runner and guests are out safely. However, in the event that its gets dark before you get out, STAY ON PAPER. Do not attempt to find the way out yourself. The Hare will organise a search and rescue party to get you out.

5. How long is the run?

We don't know actually. But it usually last between 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes. If it gets dark and you are not out yet, refer to paragraph 4 above.

6. What about snake bites? Are they common?

Since we make so much noise during a run, the snakes would have slithered away long before we arrive. Which is why it is important to stay on paper. Being bitten by a snake in a run is a very, very, very remote chance. It has not happened yet in our 17 years of hashing. You would have to worry more about those pesky mosquitoes, though. However, any reputable insect repellant would help, and maybe chase away some men, too.

7. Where do you usually run?

The beauty of the hash is that we do not run in any set areas. It is entirely the Hare's prerogative. As a general guide, we normally run through rubber and oil palm plantations. However, there are exceptions. To know more, click here.

8. Any drinks served before, during and after the run?

Drinks will be served after the run. You will have to bring your own drinking water for the run.

9. Any fees involved?

Since we are a self-sustaining, non-profit making club, naturally, a small token is charged. This starts from RM25.00 (at the time of this article, the exchange rate is RM3.40 : US$1.00) per run. This levy may increase if there are freebies/goodies being given away by the Hare of the run. Please call to confirm or you may click here for more info.

10. How about food?

This differs from house to house. In Batu Hash, the levy that you have paid includes dinner, which may range from packed food at the run site or to an elaborate feast in an air-conditioned restaurant. It's all the Hare's prerogative.
